Bill, do you know of any UM churches that are going viral or any judicatories that are open to the idea?

I'm really attracted to the idea, but then I think of the all the policies and procedures the lawyers and accountants have saddled us with all these years. Some of the policies (like Safe Sanctuary) do seem to play a useful role in our current culture, but would be like a heap of chains on a viral church.

My guess is that a viral church could avoid this kind of policy limitation by having NO childrens or youth ministry apart from equipping parents to do it themselves and having occasional family events (I have a recollection of seeing Randy Frazee writing something along those lines once upon a time).

I havent seen any going viral but I am seeing church planting on the front burner of several conferences. Some of which Im coaching at the moment. But we are a long way from going viral. bill
