I NEED YOUR HELP!

I live a very blessed life and one of the areas where I am blessed is that I surrounded by books. I love to learn by reading.

Unfortunately, they tend to pile up around here. I have scores of books that I have read and some that I will never get to.

Because of my position with Leadership Network I get sent lots and lots of books. Some come from publishers who want me to read and review their book. Some come from author friends who want to pass along a gift. And believe it or not, some come from Amazon where I am sure someone is sneaking in on my account and ordering.:)

Many times I end up with the same book from all three sources. A publisher sends, the author sends and often I have already pre-ordered it.

I do read all the books that friends send along. Some that the publishers send and I at least start the ones I get from Amazon to see if they are worth finishing.

But here is where I need help. These books really don’t do any good just sitting on my shelf. Others need to read them and many actually need a short review posted here on our blog.

So, I am about to commence the great Dave book giveaway in an attempt to give away 80% of my books.

Here’s how it works:

Every so often I will post a list of books available.

Be the first to email me at dave.travis@leadnet.org with the name of ONE of the books in the list and I will mail it to you.

In return, I want you to actually read it and within 6 weeks send me a one-two page review of the book with special notes as to what you think church leaders can learn from the book.

Some of those reviews will be posted here on the Books@ Leadership Network blog.

 A few of the books will be marked – No need to review because they don’t really apply to church leader topics. Those you just get for free.

 If you get a book and don’t send a review, you will become ineligible for future free books.

And to spread the wealth, only request one book from each list, then wait a few weeks for the next list.
